Surviving scout camp…

I spent last weekend at our scout troops winter survival camp here in chilly Cornwall. And survivied!

The troop took its newly built trek cart on its maiden voyage to our local campsite via the most hilly route we could find. It survived too, but it may need some TLC before we use it again. And some lightening as the thing is darn heavy!

The scouts built there own bivvi`s from wood, tarp and imagination and spent a the night in them for their Survival Badge. They lit fires, cooked allsorts and had a good, if cold weekend before we hiked back next day to the hut for warm soup and a good rest!

Roll on the next trip and some sunny warm weather please.
